In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
All praises are due to Allah. There is no strength nor power except in Allah. May Allah bless and praise our Messenger and his family and companions and those who follow them in excellence until the Day of Judgment.
A Group Known As ISIS
To proceed: Over a year ago a group known as ISIS emerged in Iraq and the Levant claiming to be an Islamic state, however they are extension of the Khawaarij who first appeared in the era of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). The Khawaarij declared the Companions to be disbelievers and fought against the two Rightly Guided Rulers, ‘Uthman and ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both). ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) fought against them and he killed those of them whom he killed. Their crimes have reached such a level that they incite some of the adolescents and foolish dreamers to kill innocent people in the land of the two holy sites while the people are performing the prayer. And the latest instance of this was the explosion which occurred when they bombed the special emergency forces mosque in Aseer while the people were performing their early afternoon prayer on Thursday 21/10/1436 AH [corresponding to August 6th, 2015] and which has stained the books of the Qur’an with their blood.
An Act of Jihad?
Yet ISIS has asserted that this was an act of jihaad and martyrdom. Undoubtedly, this is jihaad in the path of Satan, and I have already written two articles about this sect, the first of which by the title, «The Fitnah of the self-proclaimed Iraqi Khilaafah ISIS» published 28/09/1435 AH, and another entitled: «The Self-proclaimed Khilaafah ISIS Kills those in prayer and slaughters humans with knives» published in 22/08/1436 AH. So according to what intellect and what religion is killing those offering prayer and staining the books of the Qur’an with their blood jihaad and martyrdom?!?!
Killing Without Due Right
There is no doubt that killing a protected life without due right is a crime wherever it were to occur, so then what about if it occurs during the prayer inside of a mosque? This is the very height of criminality. And verily Allah Almighty has said: (Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind)- 5:32 These crimes which are the epitome of criminality contradict the verse of Qur’an regarding the description of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you)- 3:159. Not to mention the Prophet’s statement regarding killing when there is a due right: {Verily Allah has prescribed excellence in all things. So when you kill then kill well; and when you slaughter, then slaughter well. Let each one of you sharpen his blade and let him spare suffering to the animal he slaughters} Narrated by Muslim.
Killing Those Who Are Performing The Prayer
And the one who kills a soul without due right, May Allah forbid him from receiving the promise of martyrdom and from entering paradise – rather he is one who is threatened with entering the Hellfire as Allah Almighty said: (And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the Wrath and the Curse of Allah are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him.)– 4:93 So how can someone rationalize that the Divine Legislation which Allah described the one who was sent with it as (And We have not sent you [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds)– 21:107 – how can a person believe the Divine Legislation permits killing those who are performing the prayer in the mosques without any due right or staining the books of the Qur’an with their blood?!?! We seek refuge with Allah from being forsaken (“Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower.”)– 3:8.
And may Allah praise and bless our prophet and his messenger and his family and all of his companions.
