Sheikh Muhammad Baazmool, may Allaah preserve him said,
"It is not from the way of the first three generations of Muslims that every student of knowledge enter into the arena of criticizing and commending individuals. Certainly in every area of Sharee'ah knowledge there are individuals well-known for their proficiency and understanding.
So just as we do not generally take knowledge from any and everyone, likewise in this area, it is not for just anyone to speak in the matters of criticism and commendation of individuals."
