Sheikh Ubayd al-Jaabiree, may Allaah preserve him, said:n"...the one who says, the term minhaj is an innovated term is refuted from the linguistic standpoint, as well as from the direction of the reality of the Sharee'ah. As minhaj linguistically means a path. Such that if that path one walked upon was clear and straight, it would be said: This is a good path which is fitting and safe to proceed upon.
