Sheikh Muhammad Baazmool, may Allaah preserve him said,
“It is not from the way of the first three generations of Muslims to determine or identify the truth by men, such that everything that so and so brings must be the truth. Rather one of their distinguishing signs is that they held that one who understanding the truth will then be able to assess and determine those individuals who hold and stand upon the truth, and that through understanding the truth you can become from the people who stand upon it.”
