Sheikh Zayd Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said:
“All of these subjects are from those matters of the religion, both the small and significant issues among them, which are encompassed within the expression or term “methodology.” Some have restricted the use of this term methodology to refer to some specific issues in the religion, such as for example, the criticism and commendation of individuals, yet this confined use is a restriction which is not proper nor suitable.”
