Sheikh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez Ibn ‘Abdullah Ibn Baaz, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said,
‘“…the path to happiness and the path to success is the path which was taken by the first believers, the Companions of the Prophet, may Allaah’s praise and His salutations be upon him, and those who followed them in goodness. As Allaah, the Majestic and the Exalted, says, ﴾ … this is my straight path. Follow it and do not follow the other paths as they will separate you from His path. This is what he has ordained for you, in order that you may become righteous.﴿-(Surah al-Anaam: 153)
The path of Allaah is knowledge, this truly is His path, this truly is guidance, this truly is Islaam, this truly is goodness, and this truly is the fear of Allaah. Regarding this, Allaah, Glorified and Exalted, says in Surah al-Faatihah, ﴾Guide us to the straight path.﴿ Our Lord has instructed us to ask for this; instructed that we ask from Him guidance to His straight path. And His straight path is that knowledge that was brought by His Messenger, as well as acting according to that.’
