Fifty Scholastic Observations Regarding The Muslim Brotherhood [26 of 50]

This entry is part 27 of 49 in the series 50 Scholastic Observations About the Muslim Brotherhood

Sheikh Sheikh ‘Abdullah an-Najmee, may Allaah preserve him, said,

’26 – The Muslim Brotherhood group and organization has been known for advocating the use of Islamic nasheed and making them both not only central to the lives of the members of the movement but also central to the efforts and activities of the Muslim Brotherhood itself. This is something that some of the senior scholars consider an innovated practice which was taken from some of the practices of the Sufees. As a relevant note, the compiler of the original treatise, briefly critiques a statement of Sayyid Qutb supporting the use of “Islamic” nasheed by the Muslim Brotherhood.’
