Sheikh Saaleh Ibn Fauzaan, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said,
‘As to that which we advise the youth; it is to learn beneficial knowledge from the hands of the scholars and to avoid hastiness in relation to rulings in the religion. Also, we advise them to avoid accepting concepts and statements without thoroughly examining them and scrutinizing them carefully, including what they embody and contain within them. Indeed, it is upon them to verify, and then to ask the scholars, and not to act hastily. They should also keep away from acting emotionally, with blind enthusiasm which will lead them to fall into a state of error.
Likewise, I advise them to be far from association or affiliation with anything which distances them from the methodology of the Book and the Sunnah and the way of the people of the Sunnah and the Jama’ah. As Allaah, the Most High says, ﴾…and hold fast to the rope of Allaah altogether and do not divide.﴿-(Surah Aal-‘Imraan:104) and He says, ﴾And obey Allaah and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength depart, and be patient. Surely, Allaah is with those who are as-Saabirin (the patient ones, etc.).﴿-(Surah al-Anfaal:46). Indeed, joining and gathering upon the truth is a mercy, and separation from the truth is an affliction.‘
