19. Among these groups are those who excessively praise those individuals who are connected to their groups and parties and have extreme support of them, while at the same time defaming and speaking against anyone who criticizes these same leaders and party figureheads. They refuse to recognize their right and position as scholars, that they have due to their acknowledged knowledge and piety. This is especially true if the scholar who criticized one of them is a scholar from those who adhere to the methodology of the Salaf.
