09. Among these groups are those who take a very lax and weak position towards innovation in the religion, superstitious practices, and acts of associating others with Allaah due to the claimed need to unite the voices and gather the Muslims in a single rank, or due to some other false pretext and claim. This occurs to such a degree that they have reached the state where they will even intentionally choose someone as their general leader from those people who engage in superstitious practices or perform sinful acts of associating others with Allaah.
